The Faculty of Agriculture of the Bijeljina University contains two study programs, Agricultural Production and Agroeconomics, lasting four years. The key role in the development of agriculture is played by the education of highly qualified personnel. The Faculty of Agriculture in Bijeljina is an educational-scientific institution that performs educational and scientific-research activities in the field of agroeconomics and general agronomy.

The Faculty of Agriculture of the University, within its educational activity, conducts teaching (lectures, exercises, seminar papers, field teaching and other forms of teaching), according to the curriculum for basic studies and testing of professional knowledge (exams, colloquia, etc.). Trained staff should have a decisive influence on the development of agriculture in the Republic of Serbska and BiH as a whole by modernizing the level and structure of production and its harmonization with social needs and market requirements.

The Faculty of Agriculture, independently or in cooperation with other organizations, performs scientific research and professional activities through applied and development research, studies, projects, engineering and expertise.

The main goals of the Faculty of Agriculture, Bijeljina University are:

• Continuous improvement of study programs, ie their adaptation to modern scientific achievements,
• Providing resources necessary for the implementation of educational and scientific research activities,
• Acquisition of knowledge and skills that will enable students and other interested persons and institutions to more efficiently integrate into modern economic and social trends,
• Enabling student mobility in accordance with the Bologna Declaration,
• Continuous training of employees.

The Faculty of Agriculture of the University has the task to:

• Enable students to acquire an appropriate level of knowledge in undergraduate studies, independently or in cooperation with other educational and scientific institutions,
• Assist students and other interested persons or institutions in the practical application of modern technical and technological solutions.

The decision-making at the Bijeljina University on the establishment of the Faculty of Agriculture is the result of a comprehensive analysis of the needs of agribusiness, which is expanding, both in this and in neighboring areas. The cooperation of the Faculty of Agriculture with renowned educational institutions from the region guarantees a high level of education of staff who will successfully apply the acquired knowledge in practice.

Upon completion of the study of Agricultural Production, the student is qualified to:

• Performing activities of organization of production and processing,
• Doing marketing work,
• Transport of agri-food products, raw materials, auxiliary materials and means of production intended for agricultural and business systems of the food industry.
