Faculty of Psychology
At the Faculty of Psychology, Bijeljina University, classes are held in the study program of basic academic study of psychology, where in the first six semesters the study program covers basic areas of psychology, then theories, methods and techniques, history and development of psychology as a science and profession, and main areas applied psychology, while in the fourth year begins a deeper study of one of the four offered areas of psychology (clinical psychology, psychology of education, psychology of work and research in psychology). The program is designed based on the development of psychological science and profession, and the need for psychologists in the labor market.
Basic academic studies of psychology are aimed at acquiring knowledge and skills for further education and guidance, as well as training for performing all the tasks of a psychologist.
A graduate psychologist should master psychological concepts, facts and laws; knows psychological research methods and techniques; understands psychological phenomena and their biological, age, contextual, social and individual conditioning and ultimately possesses communication skills.
