Office for International Cooperation

The Office for International Cooperation provides strategic support to the management of the University in order to define the direction of development and improvement of the strategy of internationalization and positioning of the University in the global educational and research space.

The office directs its activities in the direction of cooperation with other higher education institutions in the country and the world and strengthening internationalization in order to improve the quality and competence of the University in educational and research work.

The office provides strategic guidelines and proposes, implements measures and activities that contribute to the academic mobility of all its members, students, teachers, researchers and administrative staff.

The office operates operationally and carries out activities, i.e. provides information regarding opportunities for international cooperation, coordinates and implements international programs in the field of mobility and education, provides support to faculties in administrative project management, organizes information days and workshops, international conferences and meetings, visits by delegations of foreign higher education institutions institution and embassy, ​​as well as other activities aimed at promoting the value of international cooperation among students, teachers and associates of the University of Bijeljina.

Mission of the Office

• Development of international relations with partner institutions in Europe and the world,
• Encouraging the mobility of students, teachers, research and administrative staff,
• Providing support to faculties in administrative and technical project management,
• Provision of information to internal and external users regarding opportunities for international cooperation

Bilateral agreements

• Advisory, administrative and organizational support when concluding contracts,

Mobility

• Organization of student exchange, exchange of teachers and administrative staff,
• Administrative and organizational assistance to foreign students and exchange staff at the University of Bijeljina,
• Administrative and organizational assistance to domestic exchange students at foreign higher education institutions,
• Administrative assistance in providing accommodation for short-term stays of students and teachers at the University of Bijeljina,
• Supervision of exchange program activities.

Projects

• Advisory and administrative assistance for ERASMUS+ projects and similar programs, programs of line ministries and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Information

• Information about the international cooperation of the University of Bijeljina,
• Creation of informative and promotional materials in English about the University of Bijeljina.

Finance

• Monitoring of finances intended for international cooperation of the University of Bijeljina and proposing allocation in accordance with priorities.

Based on Article 15 of the Rulebook on International Cooperation of the University, the Chancellery has the following responsibilities:

• In cooperation with the chairman and members of the Committee, he prepared drafts of conclusions, decisions and opinions of the Committee for International Cooperation;
• Monitoring the implementation of the Internationalization Strategy at the University, and reports on the current situation to the Chairman of the Committee for International Cooperation;
• Monitors and applies legal regulations, strategies and educational policies of Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Union, which regulate activities in the field of international cooperation;
• Providing professional assistance to students, administrative and teaching staff when applying for scholarships, programs and projects;
• He works on researching various possibilities of new scholarships, programs and projects to which he can apply;
• Promotes mobility among students and staff;
• Monitors and assists in the implementation of international educational projects and cooperation programs;
• He is working on a report on the work of the vice-rector for scientific work and international cooperation;
• Performs other tasks in the domain of international cooperation by order of the vice-rector for scientific work and international cooperation.
